Banff National Park

WOW...I mean WOW! This place is frickin' amazing! We have so many pictures but not one can do it justice! Where do we even start?....We took off from Sylvan lake not knowing what to expect. After an hour or so on the road we starting hitting the Canadian Rockies. We came over a little hill to be shocked by the bluest, purest looking lake the 3 of us had ever seen. The glacial runoff has a blue-green hue to it that is indescribable. As we made our way through Banff National Park, our jaws were dropped. The sick mountain formations and untouched water were so peaceful. As if the experience could get any better, we drove through the end of a rainbow! No pot of gold though... We stopped a few times to try to capture the moment with photos and film, but like I said before, nothing compares to seeing this!We were told we had to see Lake Louise. So we did the tourist thing and made our way there. WOW!!! Even though there were people everywhere, the lake was still absolutely beautiful. The overcast skies and misty air made the experience even more crazy and almost erie. We camped for the night at Johnston Canyon. It's hard to feel very "nature-like" in Pete, but he's part of the Tour too! Needless to say we stood out like a sore thumb at the campground, but for the most part, people were curious as to what we were all about. Monday we hiked up Johnston Canyon to see the falls and ink pots. Again, this place ceased to amaze us. The high canyon walls and fast moving glacial runoff stopped us in our tracks. At the ink pots we thought we would step in the runoff creek to cool off. Burrrrrrrrrr! Marcus was betting PJ and Jenny $100 to lay in the water for 45 seconds...neither would do it. That tells you just how cold it was! We spent the rest of the day killin' it on the slackline, exploring on bikes, and enjoying some off time in the mountains!Tuesday we packed up camp, had a much needed lunch in Banff, and made our way to the border. The way back into the states was much easier! After only 30 minutes compared to the 12 hours going out, we were on our way to Whitefish, MT for the night. Today we are on the road to Idaho Falls for 2 clinic days.
