Face To Face Tour

The Sport:
Water Skiing is gaining momentum in the 21st century. There are an estimated 11 million water skiers in the US alone. Nearly half of participants are under 18 years of age, and another 35% are under 29.

The Tour:
The Face To Face tour will be the first of its kind in water skiing. For three months, beginning May 2008, Marcus and his crew will travel coast to coast in a custom Peterbuilt towing a 40th Anniversary MasterCraft boat. The tour will offer top notch water ski clinics, training programs, free ski days with a Pro, charity benefit days, public outreach days, celebrity appearances, gear demos, autographed posters, magazines, DVDs, film premieres and more. The tour will hit up four pro events throughout the summer and will travel over 12,000 miles bringing extreme slalom to the masses, on the lakes, rivers and swamps of the United States. The Man:
Marcus Brown is a professional water skier, coach, ambassador and visionary. In the past decade he has served as an athlete representative, organized professional events, competed as one of the elite skiers of the World and helped to revolutionize the sport. He is ranked 5th in the World and is the current US Open Champion. Marcus and his crew are stoked, having this chance to bring water skiing back to the people…all people, skiers or not.

The Trainer:
Jenny LaBaw, with her love for sport and exercise, chose a career as a personal trainer so she could share her passion with others. Being introduced to the sport of waterskiing a little over a year ago, gave her a new challenge, not only as an athlete herself, but also professionally as a trainer. She has had the opportunity to train Marcus Brown in the off season and study the body mechanics of a waterskier in order to develop exercise programs to enhance strength and conditioning for the sport. Jenny has her BA in Fitness and Wellness and is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). Her goal with the Face to Face Tour is to reach out to the skiers and make them realize the importance of off-the-water training and preparation in order to enhance their on-the-water skills.

The Driver:
PJ McMillan has a deep rooted love for the sport of waterskiing and has lived it for 8 years strong. For the past two years PJ has been working full time at H2osmosis Sports in Charleston S.C. along side Seth Sticher and Tadd Schriber. When not coaching, driving, or skiing, PJ's video camera becomes his weapon, capturing the true essence of the sport. Last year PJ released his first full length film "MOMENTUM" which is for sale world wide. Currently he is working on his latest film project which will be shot totally in H.D. and will show the lifestyles of pro skiers on and off the water. In the off season PJ is an avid snow skier and ski racing coach, which adds another dimension to his water skiing. This past winter he spent in Taos, N.M. with fellow water skiers Jason Hutchins and Carly Clifton. His goal with the Face to Face Tour is to bring water skiing back to life and show people that the sport is back and stronger then ever.
